The question "How is the election going to affect the housing market?" has been popping up a lot recently! There is always a lot of uncertainty in election years and as we get closer to election day, some people do choose to wait until after the results are in to make their next housing decision. Historically, our market has benefitted in election years, regardless of the results, from a boost in activity as people move in or out of the D.C. area. On top of that, we do expect to see a busier than normal fall and winter from pent up demand. In August, 13% more homes sold in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties compared to August of last year and we expect to see that trend continue over the next few months.
We know that the market is really strong right now, so if you are toying around with the idea of selling in the next few years, now is the time to reach out to discuss strategy with one of our expert Residential Specialists.
