What's Up Wednesday- June 17, 2020
Today we're going to take a look at some new statistics that were just released for the month of May.
In Loudoun County in May, 775 new listings came on the market. That's down 28% from last year but up 13% from April. The number of homes that went under contract was 709, which was down 12 % from last year but up 40% from April.
In Fairfax County in May, 1,624 new listings came on the market. That's down 37% from last year but up 3% from April. The number of homes that went under contract was 1,475, which was down 24% from last year and up 18% from April.
During Coronavirus, house values have remained strong in Northern Virginia even though the total number of sales has dropped. Though the number of sales is still far lower than this time last year, it is encouraging to see the month over month increase in new listings and new contracts.
Curious how these numbers affect your upcoming real estate plans?
