What's your company history?
The Spear Realty Group was founded by Kim Spear in 2004. Having lived in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties since 1969, Kim has a deep understanding of the area, architecture, micro-neighborhoods, lifestyles, and pricing. She started her career as a solo agent, but her business quickly grew due to her dedication to concierge-style service and market expertise. She started The Spear Realty Group in order to assist more families with their real estate needs while delivering the highest level of customer service and market knowledge.
What's the primary mission of your real estate group?
To raise the bar in real estate by providing the highest level of service through consistent communication, market expertise, and relentless advocacy for our clients for all the seasons of their lives.

Anything new or exciting happened to your company recently?
We saw big results from upping the "wow" factor in the level of service we provide. In 2018, 44% of the sales that we completed were from repeat clients or referrals from our clients. We love to create a memorable experience so that our clients trust us to be not only their go-to real estate advisors, but also their friend's and family's.
Could you tell me more about the experience you provide?
We provide a phenomenal experience that our clients are willing to share with their friends and family. We give our clients endless opportunities for success, professional advice, and unbiased counsel as they make decisions to buy, lease, or sell real estate.
What makes you special or unique from others in your field?
We care about our clients on a deep level. We truly listen to their individual needs and create plans to help them reach their real estate goals. That extra care leads to results! We sell 23% more of the homes that we list and in 15 days faster than the average agent. We also get 2% more for our clients on the sold price vs list price ratio than other companies. For a home that's listed for $500,000, that equals $9,500 more in our client's pockets! Our high level of care philosophy benefits our buyer clients as well. Due to the very low inventory, many of our buyer clients were not seeing homes listed for sale on the market that fit their needs. So we took our services a step further and reached out to the owners of homes that were not listed for sale to see if perhaps they would consider selling. We have multiple buyer clients who are settled into their new homes that we found for them through this method!
What are you most proud of?
Every member of the team is here to support our clients through each step of the process. From meeting a window installer at a home for a first time home-buyer who can't get off work, to making arrangements for a charity to pick-up furniture donations from a senior's condo, we go above and beyond to help our clients have a seamless home buying or selling experience.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
Changing people's lives! Loving where you live is so important. It is such an honor to play a part in bringing people joy through finding them the place that feels truly like home.
Can you recall a special moment you shared with a client?
We have special moments every week. One that stands out more recently is the sheer relief and utter joy we experienced with a client who had just lost his mother, lived out of state, had been away from his family for over 2 months, and needed to sell her property as quickly as possible. We were able to share with him all the concierge level services we offer which allowed him to continue his grieving process, go home to be with his family, and pass the tasks on to us that he thought he would have to take care of himself. We were able to sell his mother's property for more money than he thought possible and before we even officially listed it on the market due to our reputation in the community and our extensive relationship network. It means so much to us to have such a rewarding experience!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with us about your business?
We are most proud of the fact that we are now serving the 4th generation of several families! This means so much to us to be able to assist Grandparents, Parents, Children and Grandchildren of the same family! This epitomizes our philosophy of helping people with their real estate needs through “All the Seasons of their Lives.”
