Welcome to Your Arlington, VA Real Estate Guide
Life in Arlington, VA
Arlington, Virginia is located on the Potomac River’s west bank about five miles south of the United States’ Capital, Washington D.C. The area has several residential neighborhoods that combine both urban and rural features. This is why residents often describe the area as filled with “harmonious contradictions.”
This is a fairly apt description because much of Arlington has the typical small-town charm of many quiet Northern Virginia suburbs. But what makes this community so different is its undeniably upbeat and very modern vibe.
Some neighborhoods are steeped in traditional values that reflect the rich history of the area, while offering residents the convenience of modern amenities. People here enjoy a safe, tight-knit, and peaceful community with all the conveniences of a metropolitan center. This allows you to have the best of both worlds a short drive from the U.S. Capitol.
